The best part was the guided tour in Wieliczka, the guide was really good and spoke English well. Also our driver for the day, Michal, was very nice and helpful the whole day.
Despite a last-minute schedule change (departure delayed by 1 hour and morning and afternoon tours reversed), organization was excellent and the day ran smoothly. Communication via a Whatsapp loop and the timing of breaks (important in an 11-hour day!) contributed to this. We had ordered lunch boxes the day before, which were delivered to us as we boarded the coach in the morning. The coach was also very clean and comfortable. Our guide literally lived his comments and explanations, which made the visits very moving in these places with a heavy past. Frankly, we recommend it. Bravo

The organization was good despite the change of pick-up times at the meeting point! Daniel made a great effort to keep us together 😊

I really enjoyed the excursion, they were punctual and gave advance notice of the change of schedule, via WhatsApp and email. We were able to visit two places on the same day, which was fantastic! Things to improve: we couldn't understand the guide very well, his English wasn't clear. There was no time for lunch, we had 10-minute breaks which we had to manage: between going to the toilet and/or having a snack. On the way back they dropped us off at the agreed place, but suggested several times that we could get off at a previous stop and walk back, it was raining, so we chose not to accept the suggestion. Overall, we were happy with our choice, there were no major problems, only aspects to improve. The tour was great.

The visit of such an important historical place is worth it and the salt mine is spectacular and I recommend it 100%. The departure at 5:20am with no option to have breakfast on the way was a bad experience. The entrance to Auswitchz was very messy with only two people at the entrance. They should improve for the amount of visitors.

Great guide and simple ticket process
The person who accompanied us in the van was very kind.

I would avoid head out if possible! We got a confirmation email that stated that the departure window was 7:30-10 am and that the exact pick-up time would be confirmed a day before. A day before we got a message that the pick-up time would be 5:30!!! Somewhere in the site it stated that the pick-up times may vary and the support team, which took a month to answer my message (!!), thought that this was enough to inform the customer. The new departure time was two hours before the departure window stated in the email and I think that I’m not the only one who thinks this was too early. It was also too late to change plans for us, just a day before! I don't understand why in this case the departure window was gone in the beginning if it's completely disregarded. Second problem was that even with this outrageously early departure time there was still a lot of queuing and the schedule was tight due to that. We didn’t have time for bathroom or food after Auschwitz and were told that there would be a longer break after Birkenau. The longer break for walking to the bus, getting a snack and toilets was 15 minutes, which was not enough and me and my friend had a terrible headache for the rest of the day and couldn’t do anything else in the evening after the trip. Thirdly, we were told that the trip would be 10,5-11 hours and even with such an early start to a day, the whole trip took 12 hours. There was also something positive: the guide in the concentration camps was great and it was really humbling to get to visit the camps.
The company canceled my tour, disrupting my travel itinerary. Furthermore, I still haven't received my money back, increasing my costs even further.
Our tour was cancelled two hours before the start.
Auschwitz-Birkenau opportunity not to be missed. Well prepared guide and very informative. Provided transport from hotel excellent. Salt Mines interesting but at times a bit lengthy. Exit a bit confusing. Provided transport to hotel excellent.
Renata was our fantastic chaffeur to and from Krakow and made every effort to get is there safely and on time. Entrance lines were seemless. One recommendation is that the driver for the Salt Mine excursion (different to Renata), collects people from the actual exit of the Salt Mine and folks are not expected to find the parking lot (which is very confusing). Otherwise an awesome day spent, thank you!
At birkenau we barely had time to get in, a brief explanation, and out we went. Twenty minutes, even less, compared to the one hour wait. The bus came by an hour earlier than expected precisely to avoid standing in line, which was an hour and a half in the cold on site anyway. However, Daniel was supportive.

Comfortable transportation, organized guides, all in time. If you have little time, ideal to see two of the best excursions on the same day.

Guides in both locations were excellent, especially the last ar Auschwitz-Birkenau, who got the tone just right
Tour was fine but for 11h we had very few breaks and no break at least 1h for food. We starved there. :(

It was nice to see the amasing place. Guide was great and the driver was also a good. Unfortunately the group was so big (c. 40 people), that it was impossible to hear anything, if you wete at the end of the line.
I was especially impressed by the underground church and the mechanism of raising salt to the surface! It's amazing how these people created these caves hundreds of years ago with simple tools! It was convenient to buy tickets online, the transfer was comfortable, the guide was professional, and I would gladly recommend the tour!
Excellent very good ...bus transport excellent inside cave and guide excellent a bit rushed at the end but still a 10 all day
The place of course was lovely and awasome but our guide Ola was outstanding. The best. She made the tour a great experience and made the difference.
This trip was most interesting and the guide,a young lady called,Yolanta, was absolutely spot on. She certainly knew the history of the Salt Mines and made the whole experience a brilliant day out
Great no problem at all, we booked on the site the day before so we're pleased when we got tickets and the transfer was brilliant too.
A very good guide who gave us all the important stories and information.
Really well organised. This wasn't top of the list of things to do in Krakow but the one we enjoyed the most
Amazing place, great service, highly recommended!
Fabulous tour ! Pick up straight from our hotel . Easy to follow guided tour and wow the salt mines surpassed our expectations ! Only feedback is to highlight exit is on a different street as caused lots of confusion
Didn't realize all that can be done with salt, ex. flooring or sculpting. The history of the salt mine was fascinating. Be prepared for a lot of steps and walking.
The bus arrived on time and the driver was very friendly. We got to the salt mine and the driver gave clear instructions on what to expect.
Very good organization of the tour with pickup directly at the hotel. Guide ( Caterina )in Italian language very nice and helpful. Mine absolutely a must see!!!

The driver was perfectly on time. The tour also started on time and the group was not too large. Joanna, the guide narrated with passion and was well understood. In short, a great experience!

Booking was straightforward online and tickets available offline via the app. Bus was on time and communication was good. We were a bit doubtful due to some of the negative reviews but everything was fine. The salt mines are really worth a visit
After being let down by other supplier we booked for trip through heading out and cannot praise enough the service supplied to allow us not to miss out. Picked up and taken to mines in no time arrived and had a short break before we were off and down we went tour was very informal and taken at a leisurely pace for all in party even the additional time going through the museum well worth the time and cost. Back out we were taken back to krakov and the shuttled back out to apartments in no time thank you again for stepping in and making a memorable day for us not to forget.
Fascinating, magnificent salt mine, perfect English-speaking guide. Negative point: at the end of the tour, we were dropped at several exits, and found ourselves alone more than 500 m from the RV point. The end of the tour needs to be better organized.

Tour booked for 10am. Received a text the day prior to say pickup is now 9am. No problem- we thought we would simply start and finish earlier. To begin with the driver was late picking us up. We were his first pick up and had been waiting in the cold for 15 minutes. No apology offered. We then ended up at the airport to collect the final 2 pax before heading to salt mines. This took us 1hr in total for a 20min trip. Upon parking the driver walked us up to the meeting area telling us we had to wait another 30mins for the other mini cabs to arrive before we could enter. Our minivan was left unlocked and the back door wide open with people's luggage & belongings left in it- they were clearly distressed and when they asked him about going back & locking the van he said 'don't worry, no one steals from my van'. Hardly reassuring. We FINALLY begin the tour. Our guide Peter/Poitr? was heavily accented and was quietly spoken. With a group of 30+ often following behind in single formation it was quite impossible to hear him for most of the tour. When he would finally wait until we were grouped together he would start talking and then turn around away from us so we could not hear him once again. He would also repeat himself three times at most door ways which was very annoying. When groups are pushed through so close together you hear the tour guide speaking from the groups in front & behind you, making it hard to hear a guide who doesn't face you and won't speak up. People were clearly agitated toward the end but he didn't care. Just kept the stupid smile on his face and continued with his silly remarks that no one found amusing. This guy is an idiot. The other guides could be overheard telling their groups interesting information about the horses that used to work in the mines etc and our idiot was more interested in pronouncing the name correctly of one of the statues. Boring.... The mine itself is very impressive. How it was ever built and is still accessible is truly amazing. Unfortunately our guide wrecked the experience for most of us and we were so happy to get in the elevator and leave. Oh, and he tells us at the finish that we leave from an exit in a different location to where we entered. Without waiting for all of us to be at the exit where we can hear him properly he says to walk through the park and then walks off toward a church yard by himself. No one could see a park and everyone wandered off in a different direction. Needless to say it took approx another 25 mins for our 8 pax to find the minivan and finally head back to Krakow. Not organised well at all. To top it off the driver dropped us at the BOTTOM of Old Town and when I told him we were a long way from our accommodation (TOP of Old Town) he argued with us that we said it was okay. He actually dropped an English couple off way too early and thought we were staying where they were. As he had pulled over and was making no effort to take us any further we got out and walked the 20-25minutes back to our room. Not what our legs wanted after doing all the stairs at the salt mine and half the town trying to find the van. Hard to recommend.
Great organisation via Headout. Experience in salt mine was very interesting but tour group size was very large. That said, the tour guide was excellent. A great many steps down to lower level and a lot of walking. We were warned about this but a good level of fitness required. Main problem was that it was very claustrophobic in the tiny crammed elevator to exit level. Would not be good for some people and no prior warning was given of the elevator. The souvenir shop on exit was very good. The toilets are mainly outside. Not sure I would go again but so glad I didn't miss it.
Our tour guide in English was absolutely brilliant! She took so much time to explain the history of the mine in so much detail and made it all so interesting. Be prepared for lots of walking as it's a long trip!
Roman was our guide who was amazing. He was super knowledgeable, helpful, kind and patient! He made the experience more special. It's a tour I would recommend, everything was easy and effortless. The statues and everything in the mines were mind blowing! Our driver Gregorz was amazing too! On time. Kept in touch and always smiled!!
Salt mines great. Pick up from hotel not so good. Bus was 150m away around a corner and Whatsap message came through late.
Ticketing experience good. Tour itself was lengthy which much walking! Guide was knowledgeable but sometimes difficult to hear as the group was so large. Would recommend to others.
Fabulous tour, with wonder guidance from Daria! Would highly recommend to others visiting the city. Short 30 min drive from the hotel pickup. Good minibus transfer. Great visit and experience.
Transport arrangements very good and nice driver. Knowledgeable English speaking guide who was friendly and approachable. Some lovely statues and liked the large room with chandeliers best.

The number of museums, so you can also see things that you wouldn't have had on your agenda and then experience one or two positive surprises. The Krakow Underground and the Archaeological Museum are particularly well prepared! to improve: Some of the museums did not know whether they were included in the pass or not. The code reading machines often didn't work, the staff often didn't know how to use them outside the norm. They didn't know that you can switch the long device to a different mode that can also read QR codes and not the usual barcodes! That's why I had to argue at almost every museum, the worst was at Schindler's Factory (which is generally very poorly organized and structured!) In the end, with effort, explanation and friendly conversation, we got in everywhere we wanted to go. It would therefore be important to provide the barcode as well as the QR code! Also a small digital folder with the museums that are included, as otherwise you often get lost and then don't go there again!

Nothing
I did not realize when I purchased the tickets that the location for ticket pick up was different than the location. When I asked for an immediate refund, I was rejected, but the reservation I purchased was completely UNUSABLE! I do NOT recommend this company Headout for any transactions!!!!
At last Moment without previous warning two Museum barbican and the Wall where closed 4 hours before the right time It where closed 2 pm instead of 6 pm the day of sunday therefore i was enable tò visit this places
Access to a few of the museums but we did not get our moneys worth at all !
I spent over 30 euros in a ticket I did not use, manage for another day was not possible, cancelling was not possible. Customer service not available just a chat bot. It was never clear that was not the ticket to enter de museums, when arriving I got rejected in the entrance so I had to buy an extra ticket. Nobody from headout staff or agency was near by.
Not worth the cost, at all

Excellent tour guide. Very informative and respectful.
Transport and date kept changing. Tiny bus they cram you on. We couldn't understand our tour guide and he was very un emotional, missing out key bits of information.
Only the tour. I was changed both the time of the tour and the pick-up point, which was placed almost a kilometer away from the one scheduled at my hotel. Very poor respect for services offered and not maintained!

Initially we had booked for a 10:00am time slot. A day in advance we were notified that we had to be ready at 6:20am. In retrospect, this time was better because it was still relatively quiet everywhere. The bus arrived on time, our packed lunch was ready. Within 1.5h we were at Camp Auschwitz. Very impressive how they set up the museum, informative. We had a good guide who we could understand loud and clear using transmitter/ears. After Auschwitz we went to Camp Birkenau, which was the real extermination camp. Ruins of the gas chambers, barracks. I absolutely recommend this trip and book early!!!

Amazing experience and really informative. Emily was amazing as our tour guide
I'd been waiting to visit Auschwitz since I was 12. Today I'm 32. When I booked, I thought there was a distinction between a half-day tour (3.5 hours) and a full-day tour (7 hours). As I'd been looking forward to this visit for a long time, I'd booked the full day. In reality, the tour of Camp 1 lasts about 2 hours and that of Camp 2 (Birkenau) about 1 hour. The rest is shuttle time from the hotel to the main bus and then to Auschwitz, 60-70 km from Krakow. I'd recommend using a tour operator for both the journey and the entrance to the memorial. Much simpler, given the crowds. Once there, I was amazed by the crowds at Auschwitz. Personally, I don't like crowds, but it's a good thing that so many people are perpetuating the duty of remembrance. For the tour in French, we were lucky enough to be guided by Dorothée. Our guide didn't just tell us the facts about the camp, but invited us to see every story behind every photo or pair of shoes. She also brought meaning to the visit, asking us about the banality of evil and the links between present and past. My only regret, which is not her responsibility, is that I felt the visits to the end of Camp 1 and Camp 2 were rushed because there was a time limit to be met. Despite this, she took the time to answer all our questions, and I was left with reading tips for afterwards. Concerning the lunch packs, the confirmation e-mail the day before was confusing. It invited you to book your lunch pack via a website, so I thought I hadn't done so with the main booking. As a result, we got 4 packs for 2. But that's a detail among the rest of the visit, which went very well. It's quite an organization considering the crowd present. Many thanks to Dorothée for the tour. This experience, although emotionally difficult at times, is essential to maintain the duty of remembrance and ensure that it never happens again.

Pick-up at 6am instead of 10:30am, really not great, we were given less than 24 hours' notice, so we couldn't cancel. Otherwise, the rest of the tour was perfect.

Our tour time was moved earlier than anticipated, and the pick up pint also changed, but we were told about this in good time. The packed lunch hit the sport, and the tour guide at Auschwitz was wonderful. You must go.
Ticketing experience was easy and convenient. Our tour experienced a time change and a text message or phone call notification would have made the process less complicated however, the process was overall organized. Sarah provided a detailed experience with thorough and meaningful information.
Our guide Patricia was fantastic very infomative and passionate only seen on tv before it brings you back down ro earth.
It was planned perfectly! Very friendly and respectful

The instructions given were WRONG. about the way to collect a so called physical ticket. YOU SHOULD just give the exact location and number of the bus to catch.
We wanted to take the 3.30pm bus to avoid waiting 1 hour in the cold as our reservation was for 4.30pm but we had to pay again to be able to use it as the driver wouldn't accept our tickets despite the price remaining the same and the journey too.
